LÓPEZ DE LUISE, MARÍA DANIELA

María Daniela López de Luise was born in Lomas de Zamora. She now lives in Buenos Aires, where she is Associated Professor and Researcher at the University of Palermo, she was the leader and co-ordinator of Project 004121 Artificial intelligence for software quality improvement – login to the DB to access the project.

Daniela is married and has two daughters

She first came across computers at the age of 14, first learning BASIC and developing a passion for computer languages and systems, which has been the basis of her career.

Her interests are primarily in computational linguistics and machine learning application, in addition Daniela is heavily involved organising and running meetings to promote soft computing technologies, for both young people and professionals.

She is currently full-time Associated Professor and researcher for Palermo University (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Her work experience is extensive, primarily in IT research, having been involved in research projects as varied signature validation to autonomous mobile robots with consciousness. Daniela has worked with and advised many International Companies - a very wide range of interests.

Her academic background includes four Degrees, one in System Analysis from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, the Engineering degree in Computer Science as equivalences in Spain. One further Degree in Expert System Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, and yet one more, a PhD, in Computing Science from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata.

She has spoken at many Seminars (many of them written within the framework of the Argentine's Annual National, Technological and Scientific week), written many articles, books and papers on topics related to Computational Intelligence.

She is fluent in Spanish and English and can read Italian and German, but she is improving her spoken German also.

To give some idea of her commitment and energy we simply have to list her accomplishments.

Her outside interests include swimming, enjoying her two children, listening to Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and on good days Wagner.
