Fortunately, cleaning dirt and grime that has settled between the glass in your oven door is not difficult to do. The following guide walks you through the quick and easy process of cleaning the glass on your oven door thoroughly. Remove the Door The first thing you are going to need to do is to remove the door from the oven. Open the door a quarter of the way open and jostle it to release the hinges and then pull up and away from the oven. If the door does not release after a few tries, it may have locking hinges. Open the door all the way and look at each hinge. There may be a small lever on the hinge that needs to be pulled toward the door and then you should be able to lift the door away from the oven the same way you would if it did not have locking hinges. Separate the Door and the Cover Lay the door on a flat surface with the handle facing toward the ground. Use a screwdriver to carefully unscrew the screws located at the bottom of the door. There should be four of them. Find the two screws located near the top of the door that keep the handle attached to the door. Remove those two screws and pull the door away from the cover. Clean the Glass Use warm soapy water to clean the entire interior of the glass. You want to be sure that there is nothing left stuck on the glass and that you dry it thoroughly before putting the door back together. Finish the Job Once the glass is dry, place the door back onto the cover carefully. Use the screwdriver to place all the screws where they are supposed to be and tighten them. Hold the door in front of the oven so that the hinges are lined up with the openings in the oven. Push the hinges into the openings and jostle the door until is slides back into place. If you had to lock the hinges, be sure to open the door all the way and turn the levers back toward the oven so that they work properly. Once the door is reattached to the oven, you should be able to see anything you are baking clearly to ensure that it does not burn.
